Australians have been struggling to keep up with the rising cost of one of the country’s most beloved sweet treats, but an Aldi ‘dupe’ has arrived to save the day – and your wallets.
Thousands have complained about Tim Tams now being $5 for a standard pack of 11 – with the price going up to $11.70 in some parts of Australia.
Foodies scrambling with their grocery bills can turn to Aldi’s Just Divine Milk Chocolate Biscuits, which will only set you back a reasonable $2.19 for 11 biscuits.
The bargain buy has been receiving a tonne of praises online, with mums across the country claiming Aldi’s dupe is ‘even better’ than the Arnott’s snack.
‘Whoever likes Tim Tams, but the Aldi version,’ a shopper wrote in popular Facebook group Aldi Mums. ‘They are heaps better.’
‘My partner just finished a whole packet in one sitting as I was reading this,’ an Aldi fan said. ‘They are very nice.’
‘I agree, the chocolate tastes so much better on the Aldi version,’ a third wrote.
Aldi’s version only comes in one flavour, whereas Tim Tams offer more options including cafe latte, salted caramel brownie, white chocolate, and others.

Italian traveller Veronica also revealed that while she was ‘obsessed’ with Tim Tams – they were simply too expensive for her to purchase on her budget.
‘I’ve been to Aldi looking for a solution, and from the box they look exactly the same. I cannot see the difference.
‘I love the Just Divine Version,’ she said.
However, many claimed the opinion was controversial and preferred the ‘original’ Arnott’s biscuits.
‘I’m sorry, but that is a straight up lie. I love a lot of Aldi dupes but these Tim Tams aren’t it at all,’ one said.
‘We prefer Aldi Mint Creams to Mint Slices, but Tim Tams are better than Just Divine,’ a mum wrote.
‘No way, nothing compares to proper Tim Tams,’ another added.
