Barstool’s Dave Portnoy has revealed that he told President Donald Trump he loved his recent legislation and asked about having him on his internet show when they hugged at UFC 314.
The interaction between Trump and Portnoy lasted around 10 seconds, as Trump was heading to his ringside seat at the mixed-martial arts extravaganza.
As Trump was well received by the audience, he took a few seconds to shake Portnoy’s hand and eventually hug him.
‘Told @realDonaldTrump I loved the water pressure legislation and told him I’d love to have him on #[Davey Day Trader Global],’ Portnoy revealed on social media on Sunday.
Davey Day Trader Global, or as Portnoy prefers to style it on social media #ddtg, is his social-media live stream show, where he gives financial advice and dishes about whatever else is on his mind.
It was part of the show where Portnoy confessed to losing millions since Trump’s tariffs on other countries went into effect.

Earlier this week, President Trump reversed a rule made by his predecessor, Joe Biden, that limited the amount of water that can flow through showerheads.
Trump made a similar move during his first term, where he backtracked a Barack Obama attempt to conserve water.
Portnoy had an eventful UFC 314, as he also spent a little bit of time with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.
The Barstool boss also made a pointed effort to celebrate Bryce Mitchell’s defeat following the MMA fighter’s shocking anti-Semitic comments.
The 48-year-old shared a video of himself waving an Israel flag and wearing yarmulke as Silva could be seen leaping to the top of the cage in victory in the background.
‘Always fun to see a Hitler lover get his a** whooped,’ the American businessman wrote alongside the clip on X.
