The wife of a British businessman who died on holiday in Morocco has today broken her silence to lash out at his family who say they have been left in the dark over what happened.
Allen McKenna, 47, collapsed and died in Casablanca two months ago just hours after arriving there with Majda Mjaoual, 25, whom is a partner in his security business.
Mr McKenna’s father, Alan Moorhead, says he received a video call from Ms Mjaoual on February 22 and could see his son’s body in the background but since then he has heard nothing from her.
He is said to have died after having a fatal heart attack, but his family say they were not able to obtain a death certificate or a coroner’s report.
He was reportedly buried two days after his death before his wife is said to have flown to the UK to organise his affairs – but has not said where he was laid to rest.
Mr McKenna, from Harrogate, North Yorkshire, was born in the UK and has a brother called Paul but they moved with their parents to Australia at a young age.
He studied at the University of South Australia and when he died was running three British companies, including a brewery based in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
When contacted by MailOnline, Ms Mjaoual, whose family is originally from Morocco, said she did not want to discuss a ‘personal matter’.
When asked if she had spoken to her partner’s father she said: ‘His father is harassing me and you don’t know what’s going on.’

A photo shared by Majda Mjaoual appears to show her holding Mr McKenna’s hand in a hospital bed. It was posted on February 11
Ms Mjaoual refused to reveal where she was and when asked if it was right Mr McKenna’s father didn’t know the circumstances of his son’s death or where he was buried, she said: ‘If his father wants to know anything he can use lawyers.’
‘I am getting the police involved, I’m sorry that’s all I’ve got to say,’ she added before hanging up.
The day before Allen died, Ms Mjaoual posted on her Instagram a clip of her arriving at Gatwick airport for an easyJet flight to Casablanca.
She captioned it: ‘That airport feeling especially when the destination is your home country,’ and she appeared happy and smiling.
Mr McKenna is believed to have met Ms Mjaoual while she was working as a waitress in London and they married seven years ago.
It comes after Mr McKenna’s grieving family said they were desperately trying to find out where he is buried.
‘It’s soul destroying. I don’t know where to move, I don’t know what to do,’ a distraught Mr Moorhead told 9News.
‘He deserves better. He deserves to come back here to South Australia and then all the family can have closure.
‘It’s just unbelievable. She’s not answering any messages, phone calls, texts – nothing.
‘I just want my lad back.’
Mark Parsons, a close friend, also told 9News: ‘I still don’t want it to be true… I’ll never have a friend like Allen again.’
He added: ‘It’s essential… I need to be able to have a memorial with them, a funeral, a place to go visit.’

Mr McKenna was running three British companies when he died, including one called McKenna Brewery. Ms Mjaoual is listed as the company secretary.
Brewing has stopped at the business and the gate are padlocked.
Neighbouring businessmen, unaware of Mr McKenna’s death, said the company’s three or four staff haven’t been working in the brewery for a few weeks now.
A mechanic from the garage next door said: ‘He bought the brewery around Covid time from the previous owner, when it was called Salamandar Brewery.
‘Then the new guy, the Aussie, changes the name to Stubbee – like what the Australian type of beer.
‘I only saw her here the once. I saw them share a kiss outside on the street and then he jumped in the transit and she drove away in a Audi TT. I just thought to myself ‘how has he pulled her?’. Never seen her since.’
The mechanics said Mr McKenna had business interests down south and thought he also had a security firm.
McKenna Brewery is registered under Aussie Ale House, and Ms Mjaoual was appointed a director of the company alongside Mr McKenna in January 2021 – when she was just 22 years old.

Social media posts show that Mr McKenna was also into bodybuilding and appeared to compete in competitions.
Mr Moorhead has been extremely vocal on Facebook as he demands answers over his son’s death.
He described himself as a ‘grieving father’ who is desperate to find out where his son has been buried in one post.
Mr Moorhead, who now lives in Adelaide, says he wants to bring his son home to Australia, where he grew up.
A spokesman for the Foreign Office told MailOnline: ‘We are supporting the family of a British man following his death in Morocco and are in contact with the local authorities.’
North Yorkshire Police, Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Interpol are also said to be investigating.
