Adrenaline-junkie Brits have been going dizzy with excitement following the announcement of a huge new Universal theme park set to open in the UK.
And a TikTok account, @Coastertog, has taken a much closer look at what the new attraction – set to open in Bedford in 2031 – will include.
While Universal parks around the world are family friendly, thrill seekers are always taken care of too.
And the UK’s offering will be no different, as the 476-acre theme park ‘will be getting two large-scale roller coasters’, according to Coastertog.
He even says it looks as though it might be taller than Hyperia at Thorpe Park, the UK’s tallest roller coaster, standing at 72m.
In his video, while zooming in on a huge coaster to the left of the rendering of the park, Coastertog says: ‘One looks set to be a multi-launch coaster with a huge spike, which could possible be the tallest coaster in the UK.’
Closing up on another coaster towards the top of the picture, he adds: ‘There’s also this other massive roller coaster which has a very long layout and comes right out onto the lake.
‘These look to be some of the biggest roller coasters Universal has ever built.’

For a long time, Back to the Future: The Ride was one of the most popular attractions at Universal in Florida, Hollywood and Japan, until the motion simulator based on the movie was replaced in all three parks.
But Coastertog thinks he’s noticed a building in the picture of the UK park that looks similar to this attraction.
‘It looks like we’re getting a full-scale Minions-themed area too,’ he adds, pointing at a section of the park that ‘looks almost identical to the one over at Universal Beijing, which has an indoor junior coaster as well as a Despicable Me dark ride’.
Zooming in on another building, he says there may be an additional ‘major dark ride inside’, potentially themed around Jurassic World – featured in many of the other Universal parks.
He adds: ‘There’s also a stunt show area right at the back of the park.
‘There would also be various smaller areas around the park, but we can’t quite make out what these individual area or themes are yet.’
But Universal Orlando Resort fans may be disappointed to learn it doesn’t seem as though there’s going to be a ‘Wizarding World of Harry Potter’ in the UK park.
‘Nothing in this park looks like it’s going to be Harry Potter-themed sadly,’ Coastertog finishes.

The deal to open Universal in Bedford was closed by the Government earlier this week.
The Bedfordshire resort is hoped to bring in 8.5million visitors in its first year alone – after it opens its gates in 2031.
The attraction will be one of the largest and most advanced theme parks in Europe, with a 500-room hotel and a retail and entertainment complex planned along with the theme park.
By 2055 Universal expects the 476-acre site near Bedford to generate nearly £50billion for the economy – a significant boost for Sir Keir Starmer’s Government after US President Donald Trump’s tariffs sent stock markets on a rollercoaster ride.
The Prime Minister said the attraction will create around 28,000 jobs – 20,000 in the construction period and 8,000 working on the site when it opens to visitors in 2031.
‘It is not just about numbers; it’s about securing real opportunities for people in our country,’ he said.
‘Together, we are building a brighter future for the UK, getting people into work and ensuring our economy remains strong and competitive.’
The Government has promised a major investment in infrastructure and transport around the site to support the delivery of the project and make sure it is easily accessible for visitors.

The project ties in with other work around the Oxford-Cambridge corridor, including support for the expansion of Luton Airport.
The proposals to transform the site, a former brickworks, remain subject to a formal planning decision process from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
Some residents shared their excitement as the plans were pushed through, as they keenly hope the project will bring jobs to the area and spice up the ‘boring’ market town.
However, there were plenty of Bedford locals taking to Facebook to vent their fury at the deal too, voicing their concerns about house prices and traffic.
