Jodie Foster was spotted out with a male companion in New York City on Tuesday.
The 62-year-old actress — who attended the SAG Awards with her son — grinned while she and her friend strolled with their arms around each other.
At one point he affectionately kissed the top of her head.
For her part, Jodie — whose wife is Alexandra Hedison — wore faded, straight-leg blue jeans, a gray sweater, a patterned coat, and a dark blue scarf.
She carried a black leather purse over her torso, crossbody style, and she wore a pair of dark, round eyeglasses.
Foster’s guy friend was dressed in a suede, camel-colored coat, khaki-hued trousers and a striped, light-colored scarf was wrapped around his neck.

The Panic Room star completed her look with a pair of black sneakers and she toted her phone in a red case.
She and her 26-year-old son Charlie, whom she shares with ex Cydney Bernard, made a rare appearance together at the 2025 SAG Awards in Los Angeles in February.
In addition to her older son, she also shares 23-year-old son Christopher, also known at Kit, with her 71-year-old film producer ex.
Jodie was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a TV Movie or Limited Series for her role in True Detective: Night Country at the SAG Awards.
She modeled a beaded, plum-hued, floor-length gown and accessorized with a simple gold cuff bracelet while wearing her blonde-highlighted locks in a wispy bob with a side part.
Charlie looked handsome in a black tuxedo, white shirt, and black bowtie as he sported his strawberry blonde locks in a shaggy chop.
In January Jodie made a rare statement regarding her family while giving an acceptance speech at the Golden Globes.
‘I just want to thank my family. Because Kit, my scientist son, and Charlie, my actor son who’s starting his career, hopefully you understand the joy, such joy, that comes from doing really hard, meaningful, good work,’ she gushed.

In September 2024, Foster told People magazine that her older son is focused on a career in show business.
She revealed that they are ‘at that age where they’re starting their careers,’ noting that they are ‘pretty insecure about what’s gonna happen.’
‘Every time they get a joy, like I got an “A” or I got this job or I got an audition, my heart just fills up 14 times because I have this memory of a beautiful career that’s built on doing meaningful work, and I know that’s the recipe for happiness,’ she said at the time.
‘So I’m just thrilled for them, for the future.’
Foster married Hedison, a photographer/director/actress, in 2014, after dating for a year.
While they generally keep their relationship private, Alexandra has been seen with Jodie at red carpet events, including the 2024 Academy Awards.
Alexandra occasionally shares photos of Jodie on social media, and publicly wished her a happy birthday on Instagram in November 2023, writing, ‘Loving you is easy as cake.’
