Woolworths is set to drop the price of more than 450 products as part of its spring program.
From Wednesday, prices will be reduced by up to 23 per cent with products including meat, dairy buys, snacks, pantry staples along with salad dressings and cleaning buys.
Top customer favourites include Woolworths RSPCA Approved Chicken Wings, reduced to $7 from $9, Woolworths Beef Sizzle Schnitzel, reduced to $10 from $12, and Dettol Multipurpose Cleaner Surface Spray Disinfectant Citrus now $3.50 from $7.
Other markdowns include Champagne Leg Ham Sliced From The Deli (now $20 per kilo), McCain Beer Batter Steakhouse Chips (was $5.80, now $5.20), Peters Maxibon ice cream (was $10.50, now $7) and Dairy Farmers Thick & Creamy Blueberry Yoghurt (was $2.60, now $1.70).
Woolworths Chief Commercial Officer Paul Harker said the new program was created in response to customer demand.
‘Our customers have told us they’re looking for value more than ever before,’ he said.
‘This spring we have more than 450 products dropping in price to help them better manage their budgets, especially as Australians reconnect more with family and friends over meals and occasions as the months warm up.
‘In addition to our seasonal campaign, we’re also introducing a range of products at a Lower Shelf Price to provide customers with even more ways for their budget to go further for more sustained periods of time at Woolworths.

From Wednesday, prices of more than 450 items at Woolworths will be reduced by up to 23 per cent
‘All customers need to do is look out for the red Lower Shelf Price ticket in store and online to find the products that have had their shelf price lowered. We continue to work hard to provide customers with value when shopping with us,’ Mr Harker added.
It comes after the supermarket giant announced the launch of a new Scan&Go trolley feature – but copped backlash from customers online.
The Scan&Go Trolley trial in Sydney allows shoppers to scan their items as they shop using a tablet device.
Before shopping, customers can unlock a tablet by scanning their Everyday Rewards card and placing it on a trolley.
The groceries can be tracked easily and paid for in one transaction without the need to remove any items.

Discounted buys include meat, dairy, snacks, pantry staples along with salad dressings and cleaning products
The new offering is being trialled at Woolworths Windsor in Sydney’s North West with plans to also launch in Warringah Mall, The Ponds, Kellyville North, Lane Cove, Kellyville, Oran Park, Kellyville Grove, Schofields Town Centre and North Parramatta.
But shoppers on TikTok were outraged and claimed the new feature makes them feel like they’re Woolworths employees.
‘So do we get discount since we do all the work for Woolies?’ one wrote.
‘Adding “Woolies employee” to my resume,’ another said.
A third added: ‘So do I work at Woolworths now?’
‘Our customers are looking for us to deliver both value and convenience,’ Woolworths Group’s Faye IIhan said in a statement.
‘Scan&Go Trolley is a market-leading innovation that will help them both save time and balance the budget on their supermarket shop.
‘Pending feedback from our customers, we hope to introduce Scan&Go Trolley in more of our supermarkets nationwide.’
