NBA fans are fuming at Warriors star Draymond Green for another controversial play, this time, hitting Rockets guard Fred VanVleet in the face while attempting a pass during Sunday’s Game 7.
In the latest incident where Green gets physical with his opponents outside the NBA rulebook, VanVleet attempted to steal the ball from the Golden State veteran.
That led Green to flail his arms, hoping the officials would call a foul on one of Houston’s best players for the contact. During Green’s sudden movement, his left forearm, inadvertent or not, struck VanVleet in the face.
A personal foul was called on VanVleet originally on the play, giving Green what he wished for.
After the officials stopped play and looked at the courtside monitor of replays of the action, VanVleet’s foul was rescinded and Green was given a technical foul.
The latest controversy involving Green has brought those who find him amusing to the forefront. He has also received lots of negative messages on social media as a result.

Green finished the game with 16 points and was the Warriors leader in plus-minus at +18 for the game.

Golden State will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round, after they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round in five games.
Green will have a huge presence in that series, trying to disrupt Anthony Edwards from taking over.
