The cheapest day of the week and week of the year to travel have been revealed by Skyscanner.
The travel company looked at flight search activity from 1 January to 31 March 2025, covering outbound travel dates from 30 June to 31 August 2025, to find out the results.
And, if you want to save yourself as much money as possible when jetting off on holiday this summer, it turns out the sweet spot for your trip is 7th to the 13th of July.
When it comes to the day of the week that’s cheapest to travel, Skyscanner’s Smarter Summer Report has revealed it’s Saturday.
Although, for the most popular holiday hotspots of Malaga, Faro in Portugal and Alicante, it’s Tuesday.
On this day, flights to Malaga cost £153 on average, flights to Faro cost £183, and flights to Alicante cost £160.
The cheapest weeks to travel to these destinations vary.
For Malaga, your best bet is flying out on the 30th June, when flights cost £142 on average, flights to Faro cost £171 on 25th August, and 7th July is cheapest for Alicante, when flights cost £152 on average.

Skyscanner’s report also found the destinations with cheap flights, which should be considered if you want to save money.
Bremen, Germany is the cheapest for flights, with the average price being £60.
Poprad, Slovakia is in second place, with flights costing £68, and Baden-Baden in Germany is in third place with £73 flights.
Commenting on the report, Skyscanner’s Martin Nolan said: ‘We know how important summer holidays are to Brits, especially this year with people looking to stretch out the summer season.
‘Our Smarter Summer Report, built on key data from Skyscanner, has been designed to help travellers maximise their time and money as much as possible.
‘It is important to us that travellers can find their dream destination at the right price for them.
