An expert has revealed a little-known hack that allows non-guests to indulge in free food and drink all day at chain hotels from just £25 per person.
Most would think executive lounges are reserved for hotel guests on their member schemes, where they’re generally offered complimentary breakfast, canapes, drinks, and other premium amenities.
However, many lounges can actually be accessed by non-guests for a set price – and some kids can even go free.
David Haines, a concierge at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, explained to The Sun that his hotel offers adult guests access to the executive lounge for £55, while children aged 12 to 18 can visit for £35, and children under 12 go free.
Non-guests can also get full, all-day access to the lounge for the slightly higher price of £75.
Visitors can enjoy both hot and cold breakfast buffets, pastries, and tea and coffee which are served all day.
In the evening, guests can indulge in canapés and soft and alcoholic drinks, as well as free Wi-Fi and city views of Big Ben.
The same perk is offered at several of The Park Plaza’s hotels across the globe, including Park Plaza London Riverbank on Embankment, which offers 180-degree views from the 12th floor, overlooking Battersea Power Station and the River Thames.

For £25, guests aged 12 and over can access the hotel’s lounge, while children under 12 can enter for just £10.
As with the Westminster Bridge location, guests can enjoy a range of complimentary food, snacks and drinks.
Additionally, the InterContinental London also offers access to its executive lounge for £50 per person.
Guests who join the reward scheme, which is available in all Park Plaza hotels across the UK and Europe, are also treated to discounts across the chain’s hotel rooms, restaurants and bars.
Elsewhere, a savvy saver sparked outrage with a very controversial free breakfast hack after she shared how she scores a free meal without sleeping away from home.
‘If you walk into any chain hotel that serves complimentary free breakfast, you can get free breakfast,’ TikTok user Bayley said, before adding she thinks it is a hack that will mainly work ‘if you’re white.’
Bayley said if you walk in with ‘enough confidence’ you can get away with scoring a free meal, testing it at a Hyatt in New York City.
She strode into the hotel with purpose but detailed how she was immediately presented with the first test of looking like she belonged – knowing where the breakfast was located in the hotel.

‘Right or left?’ she recalled, panicked, adding she picked right – ‘which was correct.’
Although admitting she ‘got anxiety and only took two things,’ Bayley wants to keep trying her thrifty moves at different chains.
In another clip, she shared her tips on how to get away with a free breakfast, after trying it again.
‘Research beforehand,’ she urged, adding it’s important to also ‘know the layout.’
