She’s the quick-witted concreter from small-town New South Wales with no filter and a big personality to match.
And now Love Triangle star Payton Ellicott is spilling about her whirlwind ride on the reality dating show.
The 25-year-old says she was approached by producers to join the Stan Original series – and jumped at the opportunity to find love after years of bad luck on dating apps and a stint on Million Dollar Island.
Unfortunately, Payton didn’t leave that show $1 million richer – but she hoped her next reality TV stint might deliver something even more valuable: a genuine connection.
‘I want to find love,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘But dating hasn’t been fantastic for me. I just seem to pick the duds. I don’t seem to find the knight in shining armour.’
Payton, who admits she’s ‘definitely’ a big user of dating apps, says she’s never had much luck swiping right – but loves to bring her humour into texting banter.
‘I’m a typical Gen Z. I read into emojis, I roast my match… it’s all fun.’
But nothing could have prepared her for the chaos of Love Triangle.
‘It was absolutely what I expected. Drama, chaos – but it was so much fun,’ she shared. ‘You move in with someone after one date… it’s a lot.’
Payton revealed her first date took place at Coogee Beach, and while things got off to an awkward start, sparks eventually flew with the suitor she chose.
‘I think he just brought a bit more to the table than the other guy,’ she said, explaining her decision. ‘There was something in the way we connected through the texts.’
As for the move-in experiment?
‘I don’t really see many people moving in with the first date,’ she laughed.

‘The worst part? Probably the fear of being murdered – no, I’m kidding! But really, I’ve done share houses before. I was more worried about things like cleanliness and compatibility. Was I going to be able to live with him?’
Despite being new to the reality TV genre, Payton says the experience was eye-opening – and she’s now a bit of a fan.
‘I haven’t ever really been into reality TV, but I guess now that I’ve been on it, I sort of appreciate it a little bit more,’ she said.
She’s currently watching Below Deck and proudly confesses that her celebrity crush is none other than Vin Diesel – but specifically from The Pacifier.
‘Are you kidding me? That was him in his prime,’ she joked.
While she’s bracing herself for how the public might perceive her on screen, Payton isn’t too fussed about being edited into a villain.
‘Oh, I’m certainly worried about being the villain,’ she admitted. ‘But we’ll see.’
Not everyone was thrilled about her joining the show, though.

‘I want to find love,’ she told Daily Mail Australia
‘My mum told me not to talk about sex and not to swear on national television,’ she laughed. ‘Look… I can’t recall if I did either.’
Asked to sum up the Love Triangle experience, Payton didn’t hesitate.
‘Bloody fantastic,’ she said with a grin. ‘Viewers should strap in – there’s a lot of twists and turns.’
So what’s the most chaotic thing she can tease?
‘I moved into a house with two strangers,’ she said. ‘I think that says enough.’
