The former wife of a local television anchor was arrested after she was caught red-handed by an undercover cop for hiring a hit man to make her husband ‘disappear.’
Angelia Solomon, who now goes by Angie Huffines on social media, was arrested on Friday in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb outside of Nashville for allegedly hiring a hitman to murder her ex-husband, Aaron Solomon.
The Franklin Police Department confirmed that Angelia was arrested and charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder against Aaron. She was taken into custody on a $500,000 bond.
Angelia had allegedly told the undercover officer that she wanted her ex-husband to ‘disappear and be put underground,’ a Public Information Manager with the Franklin Police Department confirmed to DailyMail.com.
She also allegedly said that her ex’s death would provide her daughter access to a trust fund and gave the officer the registration on her vehicle as collateral.
Angelia had also allegedly told the officer where he could locate her ex-husband and how he could find him.
The couple previously endured a shocking tragedy when their son, Grant, died on July 20, 2020.
Grant was in the parking lot of a sporting facility for a private pitching lesson when his car rolled backward over him.

His father, Aaron was in a separate vehicle in the sporting complex and called 911 when the incident occurred.
Aaron said in a 911 call that Aaron was underneath his white truck and ‘somehow it backed up.’
In a statement to police, Aaron said that he was parked next to his son’s car when he noticed Grant got out of his truck to grab his gear from the trunk.
‘I looked down to check a work email and the next thing I know I hear and see the truck rolling backwards into the ditch. I get out of my car to try to find my son and saw that he was trapped underneath the truck and immediately called 911,’ he said.
A police report previously reviewed by DailyMail.com said that Grant was struck by his own vehicle in a parking lot.
Since Grant’s death, Angelia has maintained that Aaron had something to do with it and has pushed authorities to further investigate the case.
Grant’s death was ruled as a ‘parking lot accident’ and was a result of a horrible tragedy.
Sumner County District Attorney Ray Whitley previously told DailyMail.com that there was no basis for a homicide charge or a criminal act.

Angelia has previously been vocal about her suspicions regarding her son Grant’s (left) death

Angelia previously said that her son Grant’s death investigation shouldn’t have been ruled an accident and blamed her ex-husband for his death

Grant died at the age of 18 in 2020 after a car ran over him in the parking lot of a sporting facility. His mother and sister have been vocal that they believe there is more to the story that authorities didn’t investigate
‘It is just a horrible accident, and I am really sorry that it happened, but it’s not a criminal case so there is nothing we are are going to go forward with.’
He added that there have been allegations of a homicide from Angelia, but facts didn’t suggest that.
Angelia and her daughter, Gracie, have continued to fight for justice in Grant’s death and created an online petition to reopen the case.
In the description of the petition, Angelia claimed that Grant had been alone with his father for the first time in two years on the day of his death.
‘It’s important to note that Aaron and Grant had a turbulent past due to Grant reporting that Aaron had been abusing both Grant and his younger sister, Gracie,’ the petition continued.
A GoFundMe was also launched titled Freedom for Gracie, which alleged that Grant’s sister had endured abuse from their father.
In an interview with NewsNation last year, Angelia maintained that she believed her husband had something to do with their son’s death.
