If Katy Perry had any doubts about going into space tomorrow with Blue Origin, they’ve been laid to rest with divine intervention.
The Firecracker singer, 40, was brought up in a religious family and still looks for signs.
She’s found two that tell her she’s meant to be on the historic all-female mission to space.
Katy captioned the short video, ‘Today’s reminder that there is something bigger than me guiding my journey. Love, Feather/Tortoise.’
‘You know that I’m always looking for little confirmations from the heavens, from my guides, from the angels, from my higher self,’ the former American Idol judge began.
‘You know when I ask for it and I am open to it, it’s pretty loud,’ she explained.

She continued: ‘So when I was invited to come on this voyage, I looked up at the capsule, and the capsule, on the very front of it, is the outline in the shape of a feather,’ Katy explained.
‘And when I saw that it was like a total confirmation, because my mom has always called me Feather,’ she said.
The I Kissed a Girl singer then explained that she was in space training today when she got another chilling sign.
‘There’s a lot to digest and we’re almost finished for the day and they show us the capsule, we’ve run simulations in a different capsule,’ she said, revealing the various things they trained for.
‘And they reveal the name of the capsule and the capsule’s name is Tortoise,’ she said, looked at the camera incredulously.
‘A wave – just the most energetic wave just shot through my body and I was like “What this capsule’s name is Tortoise?,”‘ she said.
‘My mom calls me two nicknames: Feather and Tortoise. What are the chances that I’m going to space on a rocket in a capsule with my symbol the feather called Tortoise?’
She added: ‘And my mom calls me Tortoise. I will screenshot my mom’s text messages when she calls me Tortoise.’

The six women will make their historic 11-minute space flight on Monday, April 14
‘There are no coincidences and I’m just so grateful for these confirmations and so grateful that I feel like something bigger than me is steering the ship,’ she concluded.
The star will be part of a history-making 11-minute flight, alongside Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren, journalist Gayle King civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, former rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn, which is set to be the first all-female trip to space since 1963.
The launch is part of Blue Origin’s New Shepherd program – and will take place in west Texas on April 14, with the new space suits designed by Lauren herself.
Katy shared snaps from the launch on Sunday to her Instagram and penned: ‘Happy International Day of Human Space Flight. Forever in awe of the Universe and it’s alignment.’
She looked confident in the blue jumpsuit which was emblazoned with ‘Perry’ and said ‘Blue Origin’ down the arm.
This week Lauren told The New York Times of designing the figure-hugging blue suits: ‘Let’s reimagine the flight suit. Usually, you know, these suits are made for a man. Then they get tailored to fit a woman.’
She added: ‘I think the suits are elegant but they also bring a little spice to space.’
Five months ago Lauren got in touch with Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, the co-founders of the brand Monse, who are also creative directors of Oscar de la Renta and made her 2024 Met Gala outfit.

They agreed to help her with the space suit designs.
Fernando said during the interview: ‘We even had a meeting on what underwear Lauren is going to wear…’ to which she responded: ‘Skims!’
As the end of the interview Lauren then quoted something she said Katy had told her: ‘We’re putting the ‘ass’ in astronaut!’
