‘With stunning sunsets and a laid-back vibe, Samos is the ultimate place to relax, unwind and soak up the tranquility of Greece.’
Visitors to Samos have the option of exploring two UNESCO monuments, the ancient city of Pythagoreion and the ancient Temple of Hera.
Travel YouTubers, ‘Delightful Travellers’, recently visited the island and described it as ‘better than Mykonos’, urging tourists to head to Samos instead.
The pair visited the island’s Kokkari Beach, a white pebble bay with a bar and watersport rental. They described it as ‘the perfect place to unwind’.
Away from beaches, the island is known for its lush greenery and visitors can hike to the peak of Mount Kerkis for views from 1,400m/4,593 feet up.
Tourists will also be able to indulge in some of the island’s local cuisine, including zucchini flowers stuffed with rice and revithokeftedes (chickpea fritters).
