Luca Bish has been slammed by fans for his over the top method of asking Grace Jackson to be his girlfriend on Monday – which bore a striking similarity to the way he asked his ex-girlfriend Gemma Owen to be ‘official’.
The Love Island stars found love on the latest series of All Stars earlier this year and came runners-up to winner Gabby Allen and Casey O’Gorman.
Now as Luca took things to the next level with the blonde bombshell, eagle-eyed fans have spotted several similarities between his latest OTT gesture to the one he did for ex Gemma after meeting on the ITV2 show the first time around.
Luca and Grace enjoyed a lavish getaway to Abu Dhabi over the weekend and during the trip he hired someone to set up a stunning floral beach private dinner, which looked near enough identical to the red roses date he prepared for Gemma.
The arrangement featured a pathway of roses on the beach and a neon sign at the end of the walkway with the question: ‘Will you be my gf?’
Luca also arranged a romantic candlelight dinner for his new girlfriend overlooking the ocean as the sun set.

As Luca made things official with Grace, fans have spotted several similarities between his latest OTT gesture to the one he did for ex Gemma after meeting on the ITV2 show the first time around
Luca and Grace enjoyed a lavish getaway to Abu Dhabi over the weekend and during the trip he hired someone to set up a stunning floral beach private dinner which was a copy and paste version of the one he did for Gemma in 2022
However, several fans rushed to the comments to claim the romantic set up was a copy and paste version to the one he did for Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma.
In 2022, fans pointed out that the former fishmonger’s set up for Gemma resembled ‘a proposal’ with a huge red rose display, cello player and videographer to capture Luca asking the question.
As well as the romantic setup, Luca surprised Gemma with a gorgeous bunch of red roses and a £6.5k Cartier bracelet to add to her collection.
While the international dressage rider, then 19, cut a glamorous figure in the montage clip as she donned a black midi dress as Luca escorted her out to a swimming pool filled with red balloons floating in the water which read ‘be my girlfriend’.
Fans of the show, were quick to comment, according to The Sun, on how similar the two romantic gestures are, with one person writing: ‘It is basically the exact same as what he did for Gemma’
‘Anyone who remembers the Gemma girlfriend proposal…this is just more of exactly the same’;
‘Could’ve done something different rather than do basically the same thing you did for your ex’;
‘Wtf how is that not an engagement? Why are these people so ridiculous? They’ll be split within a year anyway’;

Another added: ‘The fact this is a Visit Abu Dhabi sponsored proposal is DISGUSTING.’
At the end of 2022, MailOnline revealed Gemma and Luca’s breakup, with a source close to the couple saying: ‘Gemma and Luca have decided to part ways.
‘Their relationship hasn’t worked for the last few weeks, and they have come to the conclusion that it’s better for them both to end things now.
‘They hope to remain friends and will continue to support each other in everything they do going forward.
‘Love Island was a special time in their lives but sadly their romance hasn’t felt the same outside of the villa.’
Confirming the split on her Instagram, Gemma wrote: ‘To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship. It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for both of us right now.
‘Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning and I want to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters. Love always, Gem x.’
Love Island couple Grace and Luca have proved their connection is strong after ex-island Olivia Hawkins claimed the model was only looking for a ‘showmance’.
Last month, the couple shared what life has been like since leaving the villa.
Speaking on the Wednesdays podcast with Melissa Tattam and Sophie Habboo, Luca shared: ‘We had dinner the day we landed with my mum and sister, and then we had dinner with her two best mates last night.
‘The important thing for us is just introducing everyone, and yeah, integrating everything.’

At the end of 2022, MailOnline revealed Gemma and Luca’s breakup
Elsewhere during the candid interview, Luca and Grace opened up on previously experiencing abuse from the public, and how they weren’t sure about returning to the show.
During his first stint on the show, Luca was accused of misogyny and ‘controlling behaviour’ towards Michael Owen’s daughter, then 19, with viewers even complaining to broadcasting regulatory authority Ofcom.
After they returned to the UK he apologised for some of his actions and revealed he ‘didn’t recognise himself’ when looking back at himself on TV.
Luca and his family received death threats at the time, leaving him questioning if he should return.
He explained: ‘After Vegas night when me and Scott had our row, as much as I was sorry to Tina and I shouldn’t have reacted in the way I did, all I thought about was the abuse my family were getting and how I couldn’t speak to them because of what they’ve been through before.
‘And I was like, I’ve ruined it, they’re gonna get so much stick. All I kept saying to production was, I’m so scared for my family.
Turning to Grace, he added: ‘I kept saying it to you, I was just scared for my mum and sister, because when you slip up in there, especially when you know you’ve done something wrong, you know how the public will proceed that.
‘There was a lot of stick last time, and obviously death threats, which I think is nuts for a TV show. And I know people get invested, but it’s crazy. Like saying they’re going to chop my sister’s head off and rape her, it was crazy.
‘House got robbed, smashed through the back when no one was there. And that all just goes through your head when you’re in there. This is why the first week I was just so scared.’
Grace said: ‘I feel like they’re 10 times harder on you, aren’t they? We know it’s what it’s like.’
