Ivanka Trump has hinted at her relationship with her father in her latest social media post, with a reference to not caring about your parents’ pride.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Sunday, the eldest daughter of President Donald Trump re-shared a post from the page Build Alpha which was captioned: ‘The two people that matter the most.’
The particular slide that Ivanka, 43, shared read, ‘There are only two people whose pride should truly matter to you – not your parents, not your friends, not even your mentors,’ and she captioned it: ‘Great thread.’
The next slide in the post said, ‘Just two: the eight-year-old, full of dreams, and the 80-year-old you, full of memories. Both are watching you now.
‘The child you once were is still inside you, filled with wonder and hope, waiting to see if you’ll chase the dreams they once believed in.’
It continued: ‘It was never about being perfect; it was about being true to yourself, about making the little one proud and giving the older one peace. And if you’ve done that, then you’ve already won.’
Mother-of-three Ivanka also shared various snaps from her weekend on her Instagram Story, which showed her enjoying a day out with her family at Muir Woods National Monument.
One photo showed her and her husband Jared Kushner posing on a bridge surrounded by trees with their children – Arabella Rose, 13, Joseph Frederick, 10, and eight-year-old Theodore James.

Ivanka served as an adviser to her famous father in his first term as President from 2017 until 2021. They are seen here in November 2018.
She also posted some snaps of the five of them at an NBA game in San Francisco as her boys got the chance to meet some of the players.
Ivanka, no doubt, has plenty more free time to spend with her brood after making the decision to quit her career in politics in November 2022.
The First Daughter served as an adviser to her famous father in his first term as President from 2017 until 2021, but this time around she just wants to be his emotional support.
‘I’m most looking forward to just being able to show up for him as a daughter and be there for him, to take his mind off things and like watch a movie with him or watch a sports game, to know that he can be with me and be himself, and just relax,’ she told The Skinny Confidential podcast last month.
‘It’s the world’s loneliest position, the enormity of the decisions you’re making on a daily basis, how transactional everyone is with you. So it’s a very lonely perch.’
She also made it clear she will have no formal role in the second Trump administration, adding: ‘I went through years of craziness,’ referring to her first tenure in the White House.
In the two-hour interview, Ivanka discussed the massive changes in her life that took place when she joined the first Trump administration and confessed: ‘I hate politics.’
She went on to say that she couldn’t stand the ‘darkness’ of the political world and explained: ‘Unfortunately, the two are not, you know, there is a darkness to that world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine.’

She had an up close view of it four years ago when she had an office in the West Wing from 2017 until Trump left in January 2021.
She was constant presence in the Oval Office and joined her father in his travels both domestically and internationally.
However, she was noticeably absent from her father’s presidential campaign launch in November 2022.
In a public statement after the launch, she said: ‘I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.’
