The sun has risen on President Biden’s final day in office – and on the first day of President-elect Trump’s second term.
Trump is only the second president in history to serve two non-consecutive terms after Democrat Grover Cleveland, who completed his second term in 1893.
Monday’s inauguration promises to be filled with dazzling images, thanks to the charismatic president-elect and his famously glamorous female relatives.
Trump will be inaugurated inside the US Capitol rotunda at noon ET, rather than outside, because of freezing temperatures.
And there’ll likely be a different type of cold front among Democrat onlookers, with icy body language set to be on full display.
Election loser Kamala Harris is said to be furious with Joe Biden after the president last week said insisted he could have beaten Trump had he run again.
Meanwhile, outgoing First Lady Jill Biden is said to loathe Harris for helping end her 81 year-old husband’s hopes of a second White House run.
