Morgan Wallen’s ex and the mother of his son, Katie ‘KT’ Smith, has split from her husband Luke Scornavacco after nine months of marriage.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the social media influencer shared the unexpected update with fans.
‘As difficult as it is to share this, I know that a lot of you guys have been invested in our relationship since we used to post together a lot at the beginning of our relationship,’ the 30-year-old began.
Smith continued: ‘I wanted to give you an update.. especially since we’ve both been hounded with questions. And that’s totally understandable. Luke and I have decided to separate.
‘We won’t be sharing about it, because there truly isn’t much to share. We both have to do what’s best for us, as well as Indigo, while he’s still as young as he is.’
The mother-of-one shares four-year-old son, Indigo, with Wallen, 31, following their on-off romance between 2016 and 2019.

The social media influencer had eloped with Scornavacco on April 3 — just five days after they got engaged
After confirming that details of the relationship breakdown will be kept private, the influencer insisted: ‘There’s nothing but love on both sides, and though neither party had done anything wrong… we just haven’t worked out in a while.’
She concluded: ‘We both need to be the best version of ourselves. Rooting each other on from a distance.’
Smith eloped with Scornavacco on April 3 — just five days after the pair got engaged.
The then-happy couple announced the news on her social media with Smith holding up a marriage certificate from the Wilson County Clerk’s Office in Tennessee as the two grinned at the camera.
Wallen had previously also proposed to Smith, before the pair went on welcome Indigo together in 2020.

Smith shared a series of smitten photographs and defended herself against those online who questioned the speed of their relationship.
She denied that the nuptials were a shotgun wedding, but joked that ‘now we’re married we can try all we want’, on her Instagram story.

Wallen famously didn’t take news of the marriage well and went on to launch a chair at cops from a rooftop bar just days later.

The musician was charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, with officers alleging the chair landed three feet from them.
In December, he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment in a Nashville, Tennessee court – seven months after waiving his first court appearance.
The counts were reduced from the three Class E felonies he was initially charged with eight months ago.
Wallen was sentenced to incarceration for seven days in a DUI education center before proceeding to be on supervised probation for two years.
Back in 2021, the country singer was suspended indefinitely from his label and saw his music pulled by radio stations and streaming services after video surfaced of him shouting a racial slur.
As a result, he was disqualified or limited from several award shows and received no Grammy nominations for his bestselling Dangerous: The Double Album.
In 2020, he was arrested on public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges after being kicked out of Kid Rock’s bar in downtown Nashville.

Smith began dating Wallen in 2016 and quickly got engaged, but the pair had an on-off relationship until they called it quits in 2019

At the time, Wallen posted on social media that he and some friends were ‘horse-playing’ after a few bar stops.
‘We didn’t mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected,’ Wallen posted on X. ‘Thank you to the local authorities for being so professional and doing their job with class. Love y’all.’
Wallen has since gone on to become of one of the biggest names in contemporary country.
His third studio album, 2023’s One Thing at a Time, was the most-consumed album in the U.S. that year.
It spent 16 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 in 2023 — which meant he held the top spot for 30 percent of the year, more time at No. 1 than any other album since Adele’s 21 dominated over a decade ago.
It included several top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: Last Night, You Proof, Thinkin’ Bout Me, Thought You Should Know and Don’t Think Jesus.
