Alina Habba, 41, could be the next co-host of Fox News‘ The Five program.
After a short stint as President Donald Trump‘s Counselor to the President, Habba left Washington, D.C. in March to move back to her home state and serve as Acting Attorney for the District of New Jersey.
But a White House source told Daily Mail that Fox News is eying Habba to replace longtime Fox star Jeanine Pirro on their hit weeknight show.
And Habba is thought to be considering going into this conservative commentary role rather than face the confirmation process required to pursue her temporary U.S. Attorney gig full time.
A spokesperson for Habba did not immediately respond to Daily Mail’s request for comment.
‘Rotating Fox News personalities will fill the seat on The Five until a permanent co-host is named,’ a spokesperson for the network told Daily Mail.
Habba has never filled the guest host role on Fox News or guest hosted on The Five. She did, however, appear several times on the network for interviews when she held positions within Trump’s legal team, 2024 campaign and administration.

Instead of going through a grueling confirmation process for U.S. Attorney for the district of New Jersey, Aling Habba might opt for a job with Fox News program The Five

Habba was President Donald Trump’s personal attorney before joining his 2024 campaign as a senior adviser and then becoming Counselor to the President
Judge Jeanine Pirro left Fox News last week when she was tapped by Trump to serve as interim Attorney for the District of Columbia after it became clear that his original nominee for the position might not make it through Senate confirmation.
Trump withdrew Ed Martin’s nomination on May 8 and quickly announced Pirro would take his place as nominee.
Pirro is a big personality who from 1994 to 2005 was District Attorney of Westchester County and since then has for nearly two decades been in the television industry.
From 2008 to 2011 she hosted a weekday show called Judge Jeanine Pirro on the CW and for the next 11 years hosted Justice with Judge Jeanine on Fox News Channel. In 2022 she became co-host of The Five.
Now, Fox is looking at who could replace Pirro.
A source familiar with Habba’s ‘attack dog’ style personality says that she might be one of the only people who could help fill the void left on The Five’s panel.
She has the ‘legal background and firecracker personality’ that The Five might need after Pirro’s departure, a White House source told Daily Mail.
‘There aren’t many people who can fill a Jeanine personality void. Alina’s one,’ they said.
Habba first met Trump at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey in 2019. Shortly after, she was brought into Trump Tower to interview for a spot with his legal team.

She was then tapped by Trump to serve as Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey – Habba’s home state

She represented him in some very high profile cases, including the New York lawsuit where the then-former president was investigated for falsely representing the value of his assets on the statements of worth that banks require.
Habba also defended him in the E. Jean Carroll v. Donald J. Trump case.
In Trump’s 2024 campaign, Habba eventually joined as a senior advisor to the bid to get back into office.
She came on as Counselor to the President at the start of Trump’s second White House term, but only served for two months before Trump named her Acting United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey.

Habba often appeared for interviews on Fox News throughout her various roles with Trump
